Isabella Karen is HERE

Here is Isabella Karen Newell. She was born May 30th at 4:39p.m. and she was 6lbs and 14ozs and 20 inches long. She has dark curly hair and very long fingers and toes and she is just perfect. Labor went good with a few scary moments. It lasted about 13 hours, but they had lots of problems with her heart rate depending on what position I layed in, so they put me on my right side and had to keep starting and stopping labor because of her heart rate. But luckily we evaded a c-section thanks to our wonderful nurse! I finally got to a ten and they rushed to get everything ready and after three contractions of pushing out she came. Her cord was wrapped around her body and her shoulder and it was really short so that is why we were having trouble with her heart rate.
She has been just dreamy. She is nursing well(ouch!), sleeping well, and the nurse gave us the A+ for the day because she was the only one doing what she was supposed to be doing. What can we say our child is a genious already! We just love her so much and are so blessed and greatful for her! Life just couldn't get any better!

The nursery and my big belly on induction day!

Well here are pictures of the nursery. I am pretty happy with how it came out, although after all of that sewing I can honestly say that the next one will probably be store bought unless I am miraculously not sick on the next one. Cause yes, still sick, threw up today!! But it is all worth it!
Today is the day we are supposed to be induced. They told us to call at 8:00 p.m. and see if they had room and of course we were told that all inductions are on hold and that they would call us sometime within a few minutes and 7:00 a.m.! How fun is that? This day just got a lot longer! I always have contractions every 5-10 minutes and I knew that I should have gone in earlier today and said that I was having regular contractions and they might as well keep me because I was going to be induced tonight anyways. But I wimped out! Oh well, the time will come soon enough. I am suprisingly not nervous but really depending on that epidural doing its job:)But we are very excited and anxious. I can't believe that the day is finally here. I am so very greatful for this blessing in our lives and welcome all the joys and hardships that she will bring along with it.So yes that is my big belly the day before we had her! So the next post should contain some baby Isabella pictures!! Wish us luck!!
